About the Department
•Since 45 years Part I-Hindi is offered as first language for selected students. Each year around 200-250 Students from many disciplines, opt Hindi as their first Language. This comprises students from all parts of India and many parts of the World.
• By studying Hindi, the students getting more Knowledge about Hindi literature and Indian culture, and it is very useful for them to communicate in Hindi
• In the main library and Departmental Library, we have good collections of Hindi literature Books to enable the students to make use of their free time. We are also using Information and Communication Technology for the Teaching and learning process.
Vision
To develop proficiency in the Hindi Language and develop language skills and fluency in Hindi communication oral and written
Mission
To develop the ability to use the language effectively for the purpose of practical communication and to make them think and express ideas, sentiments in the language and to improve their reading and writing skill and also to strengthen students ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate all forms of literary expression.
