About the Department
The Department was established in 2018 as an under graduate department offering Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a sanctioned strength of 50 students. In 2019 the sanctioned strength was increased to 60. Today the Department of Economics is a full-fledged with student strength of above 175 with 5 faculties.
Vision
To train and prepare Students to be robust champions in the field of Economics, by adopting a constructive Curriculum Framework in concomitant with National Educational Objectives and they in turn, become partners of a Developed India.
Mission
To be upright in Designing, Executing and Evaluation of Syllabus and Curriculum with periodic revisions and pellucid updates; to adopt a harmonious combination of theoretical and practical components ;to enhance the skill sets and employability of the students; to progressively use Information Communication Technology (ICT) mode in Teaching, Learning and Evaluation processes so as to meet the challenges of the (that are crept in the) digitalized Business, Commerce and Economic worlds..
