About the Department
Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes associated with living organisms. Biochemists use concepts of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, microbiology and genetics to unravel the complex puzzles of life.The Department of Biochemistry was established in the year 1991. The Department has been a champion of excellence in teaching and research since its inception. The Department possesses experienced faculty involved in teaching fulfilling the requirements of the undergraduate students.

To motivate and train much sought after graduates with hands on exposure in the state of the art laboratory techniques in Biochemistry.
Mission
To produce outstanding students in specialized areas of Biochemistry and encourage them either to take up research in reputed National and International research institutes and to enhance their employability in modern Biochemistry and Biomedical fields.
